                             This young women, Malala Yousafzai, has become an iconic symbol for womens rights in Pakistan. But now, she is the symbol of miracles. Her story is of determination and resilience. She demonstrates "the female strength, sophistication and unwavering confidence..."

                             Malala has become an symbol of miracles. The reason is because of her vast and miraculous recovery. Malala was just coming out of school and was in a school bus. A militant group called Talibant had targeted Malala while she was on the bus. They had targeted her due to her speaking out against their actions. Malala had also spoken for promotion of women's education. The Taliban's had shot her twice in the head. Some say Malala had made a "miraculous recovery". This is because she had be flown to Peshawar and then to England to get medical attention. Some how Malala had made it. Her doctor Javid Kayani had stated "The fact she didn't die on the spot or short after is nothing to my mind but miraculous."

                             Malala had gained her position and respect through resilience and determination. It had began in 2009 when she sent an blog BBC Urdu Service about her life under Taliban rule and the lack of education for the women. Malala had stated in her blog "I wanted to speak up for my rights, I also didn't want my future to just be sitting in a room and be imprisoned in my four walls and just cooking and giving birth to children. I didn't want to see my life that way." Because of this blog, she is an international symbol for the women's rights of education.

                             In conclusion, Malala's determination and resilience got her through many things. She inspired many women to stand up for women's education in Pakistan. After this incident, it has inspired her to even work harder. That is why she is this Monday's muse. Now she is hoping to become Prime Minister of Pakistan. As the doctors had said "her recovery was not just a tribute to the quality of care she received- but also to her own resilience and determination."

In the book "Son of Neptune", he is new to the camp for demi-gods Camp Jupiter. He may have forgotten who he is but he can be useful at times. For example, Percy knows more about Greeks than anyone. When Frank and Hazel didn't know what a iris-message was. Luckily, Percy was there to tell them what an iris-message was and how to use it Without Percy, Hazel and Frank wouldn't have been able to send Reyna a message warning her of the army heading toward their camp. Percy is also very trustworthy. He understands people and distance. He gets the idea and knows when to talk or not. he's a good friend because he totally gets people and their problems. no matter what situation Percy is always willing to help when his friends need it. like when Hazel started doubting being useful on the quest. Percy assured her that she would do fine and be a great ally to bring on the quest. 

Secret life of Bees Summary

         Over the summer I read "The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd. This book is very inspirational. It's about a girl named Lily Owens. Throughout the book, she experiences a lot of life changing events. It starts with lily being home. It's just lily and her father. The mother had died from a faithful death that might've been caused by lily herself! The father drinks and treats lily wrong because of this. Lilly's only friend is her nanny Rosaleen who is an African American. After taking a brutal beating from white men, lily runs away with Rosaleen to escape her lifestyle. Later on, lily encounters four sisters. Their names were June, August, and may. Living with these three women make lily see things through another perspective. Lily had always thought that all Africans were like Rosaleen. A slaved worker for the white men. But after meeting August she realizes that in her own way had been racist like everyone else assuming all Africans. She learns that people really are different. Later in in the book, lily's father arrives at August' house asking about lily. Lily finally stands up to her father and asks what had happened the day her mother died. He said that lily had shot her by accident with the gun. The father decides that she could live with August and he left. After that she learns that sometimes the truth can hurt. But she also sees this as a good thing because now she doesn't have to stress and keep assuming how her mother died. Now she's free because she found the truth and knows that she is forgiven by her mother.
